It may be of interest that the NASA Astrophysics Data
System gives about 40 percent more refereed papers, presently just 144.
It counts e.g. 'errata' as separate papers and
also some, which I think are not 'really refereed'.
For reprints use the electronic links of the journals or ask me if
reprints are available. - For the refereed publications the number in brackets at the end of
the reference should give the amount of reprints available.
Statistics of my refereed publications within the last decades
result in an average of 102/40 = about 2.6 refereed publications per year (1969
to 2008).
Graphical distributions of my refereed and non-refereed publications
within the last decades are given in three different forms:
The amount of non-refereed and refereed publications per year show strange
variations depending e.g. on long term observing projects, cooperations etc.:
Within the last decade for example there was an increase
from 7 refereed publications within 5 years (= 1.4 per year in 1990 to 1994)
to 14 refereed publications within 5 years (= 2.8 per year in 1995 to 1999).
[Since the number of coauthors increased, the cumulated fraction of my
contribution within these publications, or the number of 'effective refereed publications',
increased only from 3 to 3.6 within these 5-year-periods.]
The number of non-refereed publications reached a maximum of 20 (per year) in 1999,
the year of the last solar eclipse in central Europe.
Besides the number of publications their number of citations is often
used as an indication for the "importance" of publications: For the paper
No. 41 in my list of refereed papers published
more than 20 years ago and cited more than 100 times in other publications, the citation history is given from
the NASA/ADS data base.
Languages used: Most of my 429 astrophysical publications are written in english (283) and
german (126). But there are some in other languages: croatian (1), slovak (19)
and spanish (1).
Co-authors: I have published many of my papers (about one third,
among them 14 refereed papers) as solitary author. Nevertheless,
most of my research activities and publications were jointly
performed with one or more of a total of as PDF file (24 kB) -
from 18 different countries.
A maximum
of 10 authors was first reached for a publication in an observatory's
publication series - the Hvar Observatory Bulletin 24, 153 (2000).
In ESA SP-535, September 2003, this number of authors
was again reached for a contribution to proceedings of an ISCS Symposium (on page 853-856).
Several of my cooperations started by supervising students
or post-docs and some of them last since decades. There are more than 60 different coauthors of my
refereed papers; nevertheless there are eight coauthors with 10 or more joint
refereed papers each with me.
