2004 July 7 - 15, observing on Tenerife: go to a special directory and see the thumbnails first. The size of the full JPEG images you obtain, when clicking into the thumbnail is several 100 kB...up to 875 kB...

2003 August 22, between 2 and 4 local time: Moon and Mars observed with private Newton telescope (manufactured in August 1961 by HEIDENHAIN, Traunreut) at Freiburg - in preparation of the german ASTRONOMY DAY August 23, 2003: Take into account that all these pictures where taken WITHOUT a physical connection (mounting) of the camera at the telescope !

2001 June 5: During vacations I had the possibility to visit the old german solar observatory on the island Capri/Italy. This was my first visit after 10 years and it is nearly 15 years ago, that I had my last observing run in that observatory

- Starting to ride a surrey on January 7, 2001 (JPG format, 45 kB) [This image was taken with the SONY camera from a part of a 10 by 15 cm enlargement of an image taken with chemical film; this explains the bad quality - sorry.]

- The baffle (for insiders: 'die Torte') on top of the Teide !? - September 3, 1999 (JPG format, 11 kB)
- round sunspot less than 50 arcseconds out of disk center on August 31, 1999 (JPG format, 21 kB)
- complex sunspot group in the northwest on August 31, 1999 (JPG format, 16 kB)
- All images were taken without a mounting. The last two images were taken directly from the monitor giving the observed region of the TESOS instrument. Sorry for the dust and other things on the monitor screen !
